When mineral wool board ceilings appear to have waves, sags, color differences, and uneven seams, most of them are not problems with the board itself, but rather with poor control of the wiring, keels, hanging points, and installation sequence.

1. Layout and laying out before construction

First determine the plate specifications, keel direction and starting point to avoid narrow strips at the corners. Elevation lines pop up all around, check with a laser level, and position equipment, lamps, and access hatches in advance.

2. Keel and hanging points

The spacing between the main keels is determined according to the design and the weight of the plate. The suspension rods are kept vertical and the lifting points are fixed on the structural layer or reliable embedded parts. When encountering air ducts and bridges, set up conversion keels, and do not allow them to be diagonally pulled or suspended over long lengths.

3. Panel installation

• Advance from the center to both sides to reduce cumulative errors.
• Handle the board with care to avoid corner damage and surface contamination.
• The cutting edges are processed in a timely manner and the installation direction remains consistent.
• Add horizontal braces to the lamps and air outlets.

4. Flatness and seams

Retest every time a row of boards is installed, and do not wait until all are laid before making adjustments. The joints should be even and straight, and the height differences and gaps should be controlled within the acceptance standards. An independent frame is set around the inspection opening.

5. Acceptance Checklist

• Check elevation, flatness and joist spacing.
• Confirm that the boom is not loose, diagonally pulled, or too long.
• Check the quality of panels, corners and seams.
• Keep records of concealed acceptance and finished product protection.

The installation quality of mineral wool board ceiling depends on the review of each process. Only by controlling the sequence of layout, keels, hanging points and seams can we reduce later maintenance and rework.
